FWQF 2022 Raffle Quilt Unveiled!

Shattering Darkness

“Shattering Darkness” was lovingly created by the Appleseed Quilters Guild in 2021 and 2022 during a difficult and dark moment in our world’s history. It was our hope that we could use our gifts to shine bright like the stars and illuminate our community with stitches of hope.

This 2022 FWQF raffle quilt is an original design by 3 of our very own Appleseed Quilters Guild members. Once the design was finalized and digitized, several of the blocks were chosen to be incorporated into the new FWQF color logo and used in publicity materials. These 'teaser' blocks represent each of the three designers.

Made from vibrant batiks and a bold black background, this quilt has been lovingly constructed by a team of talented quilters and the quilt's color scheme carries throughout the new Fort Wayne Quilt Fest website. A few of the fabrics even make an appearance.

The pattern for each block was independently tested by volunteers from AQG and those patterns are being compiled into pattern book. This quilt is also being recreated as a

barn quilt that will become a permanent public art installation and begin a local barn quilt trail in Fort Wayne.

Tickets will be available at Fort Wayne Quilt Fest and pre-show, pop-up events while supplies last. Pre-show events will be linked on the raffle quilt page as they are scheduled. Don't miss your opportunity to win this stunning quilt!
